What is Cyber Risk Insurance?
This is insurance to prepare for damages caused by information leaks due to cyber attacks, etc. In fiscal year 2018, there were 443 cases of personal information leaks in Japan due to unauthorized access and loss of equipment (*1). Since the burden of compensation for damages and response costs in the event of an accident is large, it is reassuring to have insurance in place.

Eligible persons and period
- Important: If you have completed the application for the billing plans "Starter Plan: 6,600 yen/month" and "Standard Plan: 26,400 yen/month" after the official release of the file transfer platform "Kozutumi"
- Cyber risk insurance will be automatically included during the "Kozutumi" usage period for which the above plan applies.
Amount of compensation and covered expenses
(※1) If the fact of information leakage or the possibility of information leakage is not objectively revealed by measures such as public announcement, or if a cyber attack does not occur as a result, a reduced payment rate of 90% is applied.
(※2) A reduced payment rate of 90% is applied.
(Note) Payment of expense insurance claims is limited to cases where the occurrence of an accident is objectively revealed through the specified public announcement requirements.
Cases covered by compensation
Information leakage or the possibility of it leaking. This
refers to the following events. However, this does not include the insured person intentionally disclosing information to a third party.
- Personal information became known to a third party other than the victim (※3).
- Corporate information has become known to a third party other than the victim corporation. (※3)
(※3) Includes cases where there is reasonable cause to believe that the information has become known.
